Design: Mauro Lipparini, 2025

_modern comfort

The Tharros low tables draw inspiration from the ancient city’s elegant columns, evoking a sense of strength and exacting composition.

These tables can be seen as a translation of rationalist and minimalist architecture—both sophisticated and elemental. Two horizontal slabs are separated by substantial volumes positioned relatively close to the ensemble’s core, leaving all four sides open. The venturous layout pays homage to the transparency and openness of Mies van der Rohe’s Farnsworth House and the Glass House of Philip Johnson.

The monolithic supporting blocks, finished in glossy lacquer, create a striking chiaroscuro effect between the two bold, reflective planes. The surfaces can be crafted from wood, lacquer, marble, or travertine, allowing for a variety of material expressions. Available in square, rectangular, or circular forms, the Tharros tables function beautifully as centerpieces or sofa-side companions.
